Still Amazed,..

I am still amazed at the way this little rescue, in Illinois, and her affiliates, came in, and did what they said they set out to do.


First off ,to insure the safety and well being of these Bird Dogs in need , then the rehabilitaion and healing began.

Not knowing if these dogs might carry some kind of weird parasite, or have behavioral issues that couldn't be reversed,. who knew for sure, that this would have a happy ending?
Stories such as this happen all the time in Rescue,....but how many do you know of , that turn out like the "Boat Mountain" ,aka "Hobbit" story?

Looking back,...

Looking back ,....to that morning when I happen to be reading through my bulk mail on yahoo, I read:

Lisa, myself, and a few other "Pointer/Setter" rescue folks were were included as the news was sent out. It wasn't until we were able to gather the photos, and put them together, for the public, did it really sink in what had happened,....

Remember This Girl?

On March 9th when Erin brought the first load of Boat Mountain Hobbits to town- she left Louie and Serafina the Granny Hobbit in St. Louis in foster care. I just brought Sera home this am.

She is Hobbity Hobbiting already! Kati said Sera was in the worst shape when she first got her and when she brought her to the vet’s office- most of the staff cried when they saw the condition she was in; thick yeast encrusted ears and dental disease, cysts between her toes and inflamed skin.

She looks great after several weeks of TLC and she is settling nicely at Camp Luckypets just fine!!

Agnes Goes home!

We adopted Miss Agnes last weekend! She is doing great! The kids just adore her and she gets along great with Sundance, our other dog!

It is going to take a while for her to get trained on the invisible fence.

She has made herself right at home!! If she isn't playing she is curled up on the couch, her new bed or she takes turns sleeping with the kids!

Just thought we would let you now she is great!

Stella,...won Erin's Heart,and Was Invited To Come Along

Stella was beaten repeatedly by her owner, Erin tried to get Stella to lay down with her at Bedtime,.. but she was too nervous. As Erin was gathering up the dogs to begin her journey, Stella came over to say,"hey!', "I'm here,..can I go too?"
Erin said,"Yes, you can come too!"
